I knew it from the first time we spoke - Heaven Scent was Heaven Sent.
Heaven Scent Bed & Breakfast offers Virginia Green Lodging right on Route 33, the road to Deltaville, VA and Sting Ray Point. As this was the farmhouse, it is set some 300 yards back from the highway, among magnolia and pecan trees, where the highway is not heard. Tended as wildlife habitat, with a butterfly garden, fountain, many birdbaths and feeders, it also has herb gardens, a rose garden, lilacs and peonies so that delicious scents are wafted with each breeze. Come to relax, breathe the wonderful fresh air, chill and be pampered. We love spoiling guests and seeing them enjoy the property, whether bird-watching, relaxing on the large screened porch, or checking out the original watercolors and other paintings that fill the house. Guests who want to be active can learn to sail, go out on a fishing charter, kayak on the creeks or the Piankatank River or the Rappahannock River, play golf, or use the town's free tennis courts. You can swim in the rivers as well, with small beaches just 3 miles from the house, or get a day pass for the Urbanna pool, 14 miles up the road. Here at Heaven Scent, practice your golf drives out in the fields, play badminton or wiffle ball.
Hospitality is our specialty. You can be sure of a warm welcome and kind attention. You'll have as much privacy as you like, but will also be offered refreshments and snacks at any hour.
